UNVEILING NERO: A NEXT-GENERATION VISUAL NOVEL

Rome February 24th, 2014 – Today Storm in a Teacup proudly announces NERO, its first in house title actually under development. The game is a multiplatform next-gen visual novel that focuses on a story driven gameplay which is heavily expressed in the game’s overall mechanics. NERO is a wonderful journey in a world of incredible beauty where a kid is the key to all locks and the night is not as frightening as we all all could think.

NERO is about faith.

NERO is about questions that need answers.

The player will have to decide how to walk along his path: his choices, his feelings, his truth.

“We are extremely excited to bring our beloved project to the players. NERO contains our company vision itself for art direction and storytelling. The idea is to create a benchmark to represent our company, something that players can recognize every time a STC game is out said Alberto Belli, Executive Director at Storm in a Teacup.

The narrative in NERO is so important that the games comes from more than 2 years of writing and imagining. The puzzles themselves are connected with the narrative and the ending of the game. We want to make games with a strong storytelling backbone: there is no great product without a great story” added Carlo Bianchi, Creative Director of the studio.

NERO will be shown behind closed doors during the upcoming Game Connection, taking place in San Francisco next March.
